Frequently asked questions

What is BillSwaps?

A local B2B directory for self-employed professionals and small service businesses in Alicante & Costa Blanca. Post the spare hours or services you can offer, or a service your business needs; we help you match with a local counterpart; you agree terms and each side invoices as normal.

What does it cost?

A €10 reservation deposit unlocks the other business's contact details and makes the introduction, plus 6% of the swap's value when the trade completes. For a €300 swap that's €10 to connect and €18 on completion. Listing and browsing are free; no mandatory membership. BillSwaps invoices the provider.

How do I see who I'll be swapping with?

Listings are shown without contact details. When you find a fit, the reservation deposit unlocks the other business's contact details and opens the introduction — so both sides only surface once there's real intent.

Do I pay tax on a barter?

Yes — a swap is a taxable transaction at fair-market value. Both parties invoice normally and handle IVA/IRPF. BillSwaps removes the cash, not the tax obligation.

Is this a currency or points system?

Not to start. Phase one is direct swaps and matched trades in euros-of-value. A shared credit unit may come later, after legal review — you never need it for your first trade.

What can I trade — and what's a slot?

Service hours and slots. A slot is a unit of time — a spare hour, an empty appointment, an off-season night. Services are counted by the hour, so both sides swap comparable time.

What if there's a dispute?

Adopt our standard arbitration clause when you agree a swap. Reviews and verification reduce the odds you'll ever need it.

Can I swap with more than one business at once?

Yes — when no direct match exists, our matching engine finds loops (you serve B, B serves C, C serves you).
